On 11 June at 9:00 PM, in Mihai Viteazul Square, we will present the outdoor performance “To Meet Prospero” – an extraordinary journey into the imagined world of William Shakespeare.
This large-scale, wordless spectacle is inspired by The Tempest, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Romeo and Juliet, and Hamlet. Guided by the mysterious Prospero, the audience will be taken on a voyage through a world of love, illusion, loss, joy, and transformation.
Stilt-walking characters, fantastic theatrical machines, dramatic lighting, fire, and pyrotechnic effects create a fascinating theatrical universe beneath the open sky. Evocative music and spectacular visual imagery transform the city square into a place where reality and dreams meet.
On 12 June at 9:00 PM, also in Mihai Viteazul Square, we will present the street theatre performance “Pas de Deux (Suite for Two)” – a poetic, light-hearted, and joyful spectacle in which dance takes center stage.
Inspired by the structure of a classical musical suite, the performance weaves together a series of contrasting dance scenes into a dynamic and harmonious theatrical composition. Elegance meets humor, while subtlety blends with virtuosity of movement.
The hallmark of the production is its breathtaking choreography performed on stilts, creating a remarkable impression of lightness, height, and balletic grace. Colorful costumes, striking visual scenes, and expressive music build an atmosphere of celebration, carnival, and shared joy, engaging audiences of all ages.
Wordless yet highly expressive, the performance tells the story of an encounter between two characters – a universal tale of harmony, dialogue, and closeness conveyed through the language of dance, movement, and imagery.
“Pas de Deux (Suite for Two)” is a spectacular yet subtle street theatre experience that combines dance theatre, visual arts, and elements of contemporary circus, leaving audiences with a sense of joy, wonder, and shared artistic experience.
